Dear [Decision Maker],

I oppose the "Hyper Club" development, proposed in Collier County (#SAJ-2026-00341, ERP #260625-65378). I am asking that you deny this permit because this project--sited directly adjacent to the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge and upstream of the Picayune Strand Everglades restoration project in Collier County--will have unacceptable impacts on endangered species, wetlands, and public lands.

These impacts include:
-The entire project site is 100% Primary Zone Florida panther habitat and 100% Adult Breeding Habitat, with significant documented panther telemetry on the site and directly adjacent lands.
-Hyper Club would place a car racing facility and residential development, adding traffic and nighttime lighting directly in the middle of important habitat.
-Published research shows that as human and road density increase near panther habitat, breeding habitat quality declines, with impacts extending well beyond a project's actual footprint.
-The project would impact more than 142 acres of wetlands and create over 74 acres of stormwater ponds in the Lucky Lake Strand, which feeds the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge and supports water flows legally protected for the completed $653+ million Picayune Strand Everglades restoration project. 
-Given this project's proximity to an Everglades Restoration project, it is imperative that the project is reviewed to ensure that the hydrological restoration projects will continue to function as designed.
-The project proposes a direct discharge into Outstanding Florida Waters, and its use for car racing raises concerns about on-site storage of gasoline and oil and the risk of spills reaching groundwater or adjacent natural areas.
-Approximately 35 acres of critical habitat for the endangered Florida bonneted bat would be lost. This system also supports Big Cypress fox squirrels and Everglades minks, along with subtropical plants and orchids found nowhere else in the country. 
Development next to the Panther Refuge may hinder the prescribed fire that is critical to managing those public lands.
-The project design plans show a right-of-way reservation that may indicate a future I-75 interchange or Big Cypress Parkway extension. I oppose those roads because they would impact natural lands, including wildlife habitat.

I ask that you provide a public hearing on this project to allow for additional public comment. The Hyper Club is a direct threat to the integrity of the Greater Western Everglades, and I ask that you deny this project.
